On 10th January 1929 , a newspaper named " La Pati Vatiem" first published Tintin comics. From that day all the fans of Tintin celebrate this day as their Young Reporter, Tintin's Birthday.

Tintin is very much famous for so many years in all age of people, and why not?? Herge (Georges Prosper  Remi) created character Tintin has concurred many hearts of people of all ages. Not only Tintin is brave, honest and intelligent, but all his comics are fun to read and has many deep meaning of life.

Herge's first stor on Tintin was " Tintin in the Land of the Soviets " in 1930. After this Herge started making lots of incredible stories one by one. He sent Tintin to Congo , Egypt. China, Tibet, India, America and even to the fictional city , Syldavia. In 24 stories Tintin traveled to many countries one by one and also to the land of the Moon.

The colorful Tintin comic books we see these days were black & white in old days. Tintin's first colorful comic book was " The Shooting Star ."

Tintin's comic books were published in 70 languages , all over the world. Many radio  programmers, TV shows, cinemas are made from these stories of Tintin.

In 2011 ,  Stiven S directed 3D film " The Adventures of Tintin " was a massive hit.

Postage Stamp

Belgium Government started postage stamps on Tintin’s  Golden Jubilee. They published a set of total 25 postage stamps on Tintin.

Currency of France

Tintin’s face also found on coins (currency)  of  France and Belgium.  In Brasel and London , there  are different shops selling Branded products of named Tintin.
The world celebrated on Tintin’s 75 years of Adventur and journey so on 85th year .

A Theme –park named “ Ice Magic” in Brasel, Belgium celebrated this day specially.  They structured Ice Statues of Tintin and his best friend Snowy.


Herge died in 1983, but his creation “Tintin” is still alive in people’s heart and with Tintin , Herge’s Thinking is alive after all these years..
